Obama’s Racist Pick?

You have to wonder if Obama’s pick for the Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor, is another identity politics racist. Consider two examples:

First, her ruling on a “reverse discrimination” case. It’s pretty outrageous how she handled it. FYI: There is no such thing as reverse discrimination. Only discrimination. And that sounded like a clear case.

Then her comment that ““I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

Well first of all, that statement isn’t very wise. Wise people don’t call themselves wise. And only a fool thinks their race means anything in the real world. Race doesn’t give people any insights. Maybe your life experience does, but there are a lot of clueless people of every race.

My concern with her isn’t just her racial views, but her position on things like the second amendment and statism. So far, I have not been too encouraged by what I have read. She was a Clinton pick for teh Supreme Court but he was not able to get her in.

    This woman scares the hell out of me in some ways.

    I don’t buy into racial identity politics and frankly never cared for a lot of the college racial vetting that I experienced junior/senior year in high school. Although I was academically among the best in my class, the colleges were calling in many cases on my racial identity which I resented.

    I’m Latino, too, but I understand the concept that the law IS supposed to be applied universally to every citzen of the country regardless of race or creed or other implied physical differences.

    This woman is one of the last people that should be confirmed for the highest Court but I bet the Dunce Party will put her through anyway. Balkanization has always been part of the Far-Left’s ideological agenda.

    The erosion of our rights and the basic inability of the media to report the facts and not distort/propagandize reality has become a big concern for me. There are just far too many clueless people not seeing this happening and that aren’t putting 2 + 2 together where BO is concerned.

    And it turns out she’s a member of La Raza, the separatist group. So racist indeed. They are full on racists, even though Hispanics aren’t really a race any more than Americans are.
