Frank Admits to Single Payer Scam

The Democrats are telling people they are not pushing a single payer (aka Socialized Medicine) bill, but they’re strategy is to create a systenm that will inevitably lead to that. Private insurance companies cannot compete with the government. Notice how Pelosi and the Dems are now demonizing private insurance carriers. They want to run private insurance carriers out of business and force people into government care, which will be rationed. This health care bill must be stopped.

Boondoggle DuJour

With reports that people are using this program to buy Lexus and other foreign cars, “cash for clunkers” is already broke down.

The US government will suspend the popular cash for clunkers program after almost four days, telling Congress they’ll burn through the $950 million budget by midnight. UPDATE: The Freep claims White House sources tell them the program’s not been suspended.

Holy flip-flop, Batman! If the numbers the Department of Transportation claims they received from NADA are true, it would mean over 21,000 work trucks and 242,000 cars were potentially sold. But that flies in the face of the Freep now reporting White House official denying these reports late today that the program was suspended, and claiming all valid deals would be honored. Officials at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue are now seeking ways to send additional money to the program; the U.S. House was set to adjourn Friday for a month-long break.

The decision to suspend the plan came after auto dealers warned the government today that it was in danger of losing track of how many trades had actually been made.

Gee, how much fraud and abuse do you think this program will incur? One of the stupidest things about it is they want the old cars to be destroyed. This administration is insane. They define a clunker as any car getting less than 18 on the highway. That covers most of the cars out there.

Not Enough Czars for You?

One of the creepy things proposed in the new Health Care bill is a Behavior Czar. Yes, they want a Behavior Czar to monitor our energy use  and correct it, because they don’t want us using so much energy. Time to get people back into the caves, it seems.

What does this has to do with Health Care reform? Nada. It has everything to do with the ridiculous ideology of this administration which is obsessed with the dying argument of AGW.

We already have something like 35 Czars. More than any administration in history. The point of all these czars is they are created from the Executive branch and therefore aren’t answerable to Congress. They are like a parallel government. To many people it looks like a power grab. Obama has czars for almost everything. And keeps adding more all the time. At least the Behavior czar seems to be under a department. Not that it isn’t monumentally Orwellian.

If the “Behavior Czar” doesn’t creep you out, there’s another provision in the health bill where they can come to your house and tell you how to raise your kids. Yeah.

It’s a good thing Obama’s poll numbers are dropping so fast. The Democrats are also on the ropes. Hopefully the voters will pummel them during the summer break and they will back out of this nightmare bill.

It’s lomg over due, and as Obama’s poll numbers sink below the waves, more and more people will start picking on him.

Super Jacko Brothers

Super Size Me is False

I already knew it was, but someone crunches the numbers. The fact is the obesity epidemic goons are liars, like the AGW creeps.

These are My People

Tron: Legacy

I always thought Tron was a cool idea that just didn’t work too well due to the effects they had back in the early 80s. But this new movie looks amazing. And I love Jeff Bridges as a villain.

Star Wars: The Old Republic Trailer

Pretty cool. Their Last MMO really sucked however. So I hope this one doesn’t

San Diego Con Report

Here is my report from yesterday for Big Hollywood. Not much to report today. Just say some friends and then I got out of that floor because the crowds are just way too intense. I did play around with the City of Heroes software, I like the game. They were demoing the new stuff coming out, which includes being able to change the way your powers look.

Oh, those Japanese

Comic Con

I didn’t go to preview night yesterday, but I’m heading to comic con today. I will report back when I return.

UPDATE: I did a con report for Big Hollywood that will be posted soon. The publisher booths were mostly scaled down from years past except for DC and Marvels. Marvel had a very cool bunch of Iron Man armors, life sized at their booth. They were different versions starting with the crude one from the beginning of the movie.

The place seemed as packed as ever. I had fun today.

Health Care Waterloo

r286518547

Obama is losing it and he knows it. His anemic, poll tested speech last night was an attempt to save the Democrats attempts to take over the health care industry. But the [public doesn't want it and the congress critters are feeling the heat. On Congressmen passed that along to Obama and Despite what he said last night.

Both Obama care and Cap and Trade need to fail. The alternative is to have government in control of both the energy business and healthcare. Government bureaucrats can’t run anything well. Medicare and Medicaid are failing yet they want to double down. No thanks.

Frankly, Obama is doing a great job destroying his presidency himself.
