The Fall of Global Warming
Even as protesters in Portland, Oregon (yes, Portland!) were protesting Al Gore’s appearance there on Wednesday, emails have been stolen by a hacker who broke into the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit, one of the biggest proponents of AGW in England, and who was found to be juking stats to support their global warming claims earlier this year.
The emails reveal that there has been a pattern of doctoring results to support the climate change meme. In the example below, the Michael E. Mann referenced is the same discredited “scientist” who created the “Mann’s Hockey Stick” chart that Al Gore used as one of his proofs in his movie (also discredited).

I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps
to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from
1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline. Mike’s series got the annual
land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land
N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999
for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with
data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998.

I’ve been saying since I started blogging in 2002 that AGW is a scam. I have stood by my arguments while taking all sorts of abuse from true believers. And now the cat is out of the bag. The public is against the Cap and Trade bill and increasingly the whole climate change argument. Nature is proving the whole thing to be bunk.
Any politician pushing this swill is going to get pilloried. And just think, election year 2010 is less than six weeks away!
UPDATE: The Telegraph chimes in. And now Fox is talking about it, too.
Amazing Realists
I’ve posted links to the fantastic art of Ron Mueck, a hyper-realistic sculptor who does giant pieces that look like real human beings. Well there are more sculptors like him and here is a bunch of them. Really incredible stuff.
I like how most of these pieces are of very ordinary looking people. They often look exactly like people you’d see in life, even though a few of them tend to go into caricature, slightly.
It’s very hard to not see Duane Hanson’s pieces as real people. He’s been doing this kind of stuff since the 1960s.
Show Trials for Idiots
Atty. General Eric Holder is confronted by a 9/11 widow about the KSM trial and he tries to assure her they meet full justice. But this is from the same guy who said that if Osama Bin Laden were caught today, he wasn’t sure where he would be tried.
And then there’s this from Byron York:
“Some Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee were taken aback Wednesday by Attorney General Eric Holder’s refusal to reveal conflicts of interest involving Justice Department lawyers who, before joining the Obama administration, worked on behalf of Guatanamo detainees. One reason it has taken so long to deal with the Guantanamo cases is the number of legal challenges lodged by lawyers for the detainees, some of whom are now working on detainee matters in the Obama Justice Department.”
The trial won’t happen until Obama is running for reelection. That’s what this whole thing is about. And watch how they will bring up water boarding and other bete noirs of Bush haters to try to make this political. Our next Obama Nation cartoon Sunday will deal with this subject.
If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend this video by Bill Whittle that explains why these terrorists should not be accorded the same rights as criminals. Most people are unaware of some very important facts about these goons.
Green Shows and Spam

It’s about NBC’s Green Week, which is a pointless exercise if ever there was one.
Frankly, I can do with a lot less lecturing from a company owned by GE, which is on one of the most reckless paths since Enron, and is oddly enough adopting their policies.
Hasta La Vista, California
The bottom line is the same polices that are wrecking California are being employed by Obama. He is in bed with the SEIU and the end result will be the same kind of high taxes and economic collapse happening here. Being a native Californian I have seen the state mismanaged my whole life and I really don’t want that to happen everywhere else. Which is why I am on Obama’s case almost every day on this blog.
Water on the Moon
It means we can build lunar cities there. We can create oxygen, have water to drink and grow plants in a hydroponic lab which would also serve to clean the air and provide food in a lunar city. A base on the moon would have a lot of scientific uses including a better place to put a Hubble type telescope.
It Takes One To Know One
Hugo Chavez has praised him. And Castro is in love with the guy.
Pravda sees him as moving the US toward socialism.
So it’s not some right wing paranoia to suggest Obama is a socialist. Socialists are calling him one of their own.
The Future of Comics

The times, they are a changing and the fact is the print pamphlet comic is just too expensive and the distribution channel of the direct market is on shaky ground. Comics need to be freely available again like they once were, and cheap. And those days are soon upon us again.
He’s Not a Muslim?
President Obama’s not a communist, socialist or a Muslim. Yet the evidence to the contrary is always surfacing. I think here he is sucking up to Muslims, kind of like his weak indecision on Afghanistan. I’m not so sure about the socialist stuff. He sure likes to hang with extremists.
Contrast
The way Obama “handled” the Fort Hood tragedy vs the way former President George W Bush did, with his wife, speaks volumes about the difference in character and leadership of these two men. Rather than say it myself, I will let a Hillary Fan blog do it. These Democrats had their eyes opened and they tell it like it is, as they see it.
Or course, Obama showed up for the funerals. There were a lot of cameras there. But Bush didn’t need any stinking press. He was there to console the grieving survivors and their families. Obama just wanted to give another pretty speech, which his usual fanboys are lapping up.
Obama is a talker, not a doer. He’s a great self promoter but what did he accomplish before being elected president besides getting good jobs? He barely showed up for his US Senate job and as state senator he voted present a lot. Say what you want about George W Bush, he did accomplish a lot in his life before and during his presidency. He won a war people said was impossible to win (Iraq), he pulled the economy out of deep recession after the dot com crash and 911. Sure, some people want to blame him for our current economy, but the evidence points elsewhere. Presidents do not control spending and oversight, congress does. Guess which party has been in power the last three years, when things went south? And they’re doing such a great job solving problems now. Just look at all the jobs they created with that stimulus money. Ooo Ahh.
Yeah, I know. Both parties have a hand in the deficit and so on. The truth is neither could have made that big a mess without the other party having a hand in it. But right now we need people have constructive solutions and one thing’s for sure. The prez isn’t one of them.
