I stand by my previous statement. Abolish the TSA. Go with previous screening (pre-911) with profiling like they use in Israel.

It’s just difficult for me to believe the stupidity of the administration to keep this up. So I had to come up with a clever conspiracy theory to explain it.

The Obamites greatly fear a terrorist incident in the US and know it would have a disproportionate effect on them politically. The recent “yellow alert” got their panties in a bunch and they decided to double down on the searches to
1. Show folks they’re really really serious about security.
2. Generate enough backlash so that they can discontinue the procedure and go back to the way it was before. Then, if someone manages to blow up a plane or two, they can always say that they are blameless because the stupid public wouldn’t sit still for really effective security that they had in place.
