Bob Clampett: John Carter of Mars

Hard to believe the animation genius of the 40s and 50s first did a John Carter of Mars test animation in the late 1930s. Now Disney is finally coming out with their Barsoom movie this year.

The Public Transportation Scam

Publicly funded mass transit wastes money. Gov. Jerry Brown of California wants a high speed rail connection northern California and with the Southern part even though there isn’t a great demand, will cost insane amounts of money and the state is broke. This is what statists do to look like they are doing their job. Wasting the public funds. Privatized rail is the only way to go.

Why???

Abortion and Human Rights

The Judge makes some very good points about Roe vs Wade. I’ve been pro choice for many years, but the more I studiedly the matter the more I’ve come to believe it should be more restricted than it us now. Not made illegal but not as easy as it has become. I also find it an interesting comment on the left that they want abortion totally legal but are against the death penalty and wanted Terri Sachaivo killed right away.

News?

The Emperor’s Caravan

Obama is a parody of stupid politicians.

[ht: Gateway Pundit]

Dr. Evil: Romney = Obama

The man who has done significant harm to the U.S. and helped engineer Obama’s election in 2008, also admits to being a Useful Idiot.

Is Capitalism Outdated?

No, eurocrats and statists are.

Obama’s Many Lies

Well, he gave his state of the union address which was full of lies and false promises, not to mention class warfare arguments that are a huge part of the Democrats message this year. Glenn Beck gave a run down on some of Obama’s many lies here and its worth watching even if you don’t like Beck. He lists the many lies and false promises Obama has made since taking office. And its an ugly list.

The fact is this president is damaging our economy on purpose. Damaging our liberties on purpose. Doing serious harm and his administration is easily the most blatantly corrupt since Harding. This is going to be an ugly year, watch and learn. Obama is beatable but we have to wonder what criminal acts will be performed by these people to stay in power. That are very blatant about what they’re doing and no one is seriously challenging them on it.

Today my Mom told me about a guy she knows who made 60 cupcakes for his kid’s school only to learn that they were sent back because Mrs. Obama isn’t allowing sweets from home to come into the classrooms. Parents are no longer able to put cookies in their child’s lunchbox, they will be taken away. I don’t know if this is a local school policy from the guidelines given by the first nightmare or not, but iof this is going on across the country i suspect there will be a lot of angry voters in November not happy with the president. Let’s hope.

State of the Disunion

Tonight the glorious leader president will give what will hopefully be his last State of the Union address. The state of the union is horrible. But he wont tell you that. He will try to tell you what a great job hes been doing. He will kick off his reelection campaign a series of lies and deceptions which he will use throughout the year.

So let’s look at the facts as Joe Curl has provided them.

The unemployment rate when Mr. Obama was elected was 6.8 percent; today it is 8.5 percent — at least that’s the official number. In reality, the Financial Times writes, “if the same number of people were seeking work today as in 2007, the jobless rate would be 11 percent.”

In addition, there are now fewer payroll jobs in America than there were in 2000 — 12 years ago — and now, 40 percent of those jobs are considered “low paying,” up 10 percent from when President Reagan took office. The number of self-employed has dropped 2 million to 14.5 million in just six years.

Regular gasoline per gallon cost $1.68 in January 2009. Today, it’s $3.39 — that’s a 102 percent increase in just three years. (By the way, if you’re keeping score at home, gas was $1.40 a gallon when George W. Bush took office in 2001, $1.68 when he left office — a 20 percent increase.)

Electricity bills have also skyrocketed, with households now paying a record $1,420 annually on average, up some $300.

Some 48 percent of all Americans — 146.4 million — are considered by the Census Bureau either as “low-income” or living in poverty, up 4 million from when Mr. Obama took office; 57 percent of all children in America now live in such homes.

Since December 2008, a month before Mr. Obama took office, food-stamp use has increased 46 percent. Total spending has more than doubled in just four years to a record high of $75 billion. In 2011, more than 46 million people — about one in seven Americans — got food stamps. That’s 14 million more than when Mr. Obama took office.

Median household income has dropped nearly 7 percent in the last six years, taking inflation into account. What’s more, nearly 20 percent of males age 25 to 34 now live with their parents.

Low- and middle-income Americans 65 and older now hold more than $10,000 in credit card debt, up 26 percent since 2005. The average age of the American car is 10 years; in 1990, it was 6.5 years old (by the way, in 1985, Americans bought 11 million cars; in 2009, less than half that, 5.4 million).

On the macro side, America’s annual budget has jumped to $3.8 trillion — and yet the United States brings in only about $2.1 trillion in revenue. The U.S. trade deficit for 2011 was $558 billion. America’s total public debt stands at $15.23 trillion; in January 2009, the debt was $10.62 trillion. Mr. Obama is on pace to borrow $6.2 trillion in just one term — more debt than was amassed by all presidents from Washington through Bill Clinton combined. The debt is rising by $4.2 billion every day — $175 million per hour, nearly $3 million per minute.

Remember that part about electricity bills skyrocketing? That was no accident. Here’s Obama promising that is what his policies will achieve if he got elected. He believes that coal plants are evil. They provide 60 percent of the power to the US and he’s forcing many of them to close. And others are being made to make unnecessary changes that are costing billions of dollars.

Mind you, he’s closing down many power plants by using the EPA illegally to do so when congress said no to his Cap and Trade bill. It’s shutting down a large chunk of this countries power plants when there aren’t any coming online to replace them. Not for years. Which will cause power shortages and a lot of other problems, just like in a third world country. Which is kind of the point apparently. That’s what he’s been turning us into. An openly corrupt police state. That’s the real state of the union.

World Idiots Unite

A very ominous and scary meeting of the world’s “elites” in Davos making a predictable statement.

Economic and political elites meeting this week at the Swiss resort of Davos will be asked to urgently find ways to reform a capitalist system that has been described as “outdated and crumbling.”

“We have a general morality gap, we are over-leveraged, we have neglected to invest in the future, we have undermined social coherence, and we are in danger of completely losing the confidence of future generations,” said Klaus Schwab, host and founder of the annual World Economic Forum.

“Solving problems in the context of outdated and crumbling models will only dig us deeper into the hole.

“We are in an era of profound change that urgently requires new ways of thinking instead of more business-as-usual,” the 73-year-old said, adding that “capitalism in its current form, has no place in the world around us.”

Some 1,600 economic and political leaders, including 40 heads of states and governments, will be asked to come up with new ideas as they converge at eastern Switzerland’s chic ski station for the 42nd edition of the five-day World Economic Forum which opens Wednesday.

The problem isn’t capitalism at all. It’s corrupt government institutions and leaders who are using stateist bureaucracies to steal more and more money from businesses and individuals to fund their mismanaged and corrupt governments which are inherently dysfunctional.

All governments become a mess in time, the larger and richer ones get more decadent over time because the political will to keep it working properly isn’t there.

We can only hope that these so called elites do not try to foister more socialism on us, but that is exactly how they think and want things to be. Socialism fails worse and harder than capitalism ever has. But they never get that. There are still lots of people who yearn for failed socialist states of the past that were horrible and downright evil. Because people aere lazy and love the idea of some government taking care of things. The problem is that simply never works. Witness Europe, Canada and now the U.S.

Smack!!

People are so sick of the venal and one sided media. Newt really hit a home run here. They will do anything to tear down a Republican but did nothing against Obama’s many lies, distortions and efforts to hide his history. They continue to prop up and defend Obama against the worst record in history. But they will do whatever they can to make these Republicans look terrible when in many cases they’re just human beings with all the foibles you’d expect.

I’m not a Newt fan but you have to admire the guy. He really knows how to punch back hard. Newt’s a street fighting man.

Right now people are impressed by his ability to take on the press and nail whats so bad about Obama. Most politicians won’t say what needs to be said. The problem is, Gingrinch talks a good talk but he has a habit of being Mr. Beltway when in office. Regardless, anyone but Obama/Biden is a good choice.

About that Plan to “Streamline” Government

Obama is all about doublespeak. His plan to reduce the size of government is a joke because he radically expanded it in his 3 years in office. So any reduction is negligible and will still be a net gain. He just said he wants to add another trillion to the debt. The man’s got to go.

The Day the LOLcats Died

Stop PIPA, SOPA

I’ve read the Senate plans to kill SOPA but both need to be opposed because they will enable the government to shut down any website they don’t like based on excuse like “copyright infringement” just as the War on Terror and the War on Drugs have been used to take away many constitutional rights and protections Americans once enjoyed. A lot of people have been imprisoned or robbed by the state on false pretenses based on those laws. And this one is another call to give abusive powers to companies and the state. So it needs to be stopped. This video explains it.
