Chronicle: Review

I went and saw this film out of curiosity this weekend and was glad I did. It’s the story of three teens from a high school in Washington state who discover something strange buried in the ground that gives them telekinetic superpowers. Then it shows what happens to them. It’s done in the “found footage” style of so many films lately, pretending to be cobbled together from home videos and surveillance cameras. It’s really well written and directed. The effects are solid and believable as are the actors who are all unknowns. It’s also a great take on what would happen if people got superpowers in the real world.

If you like comics, then you would likely enjoy this. I did.
