This video is exactly what I think should be done. We need to strip government back to basics and start over. This time with limits placed in the constitution that the government must be restructured every time it gets larger than 15% of the GDP. Right now it’s 25%.

This guy was homeless recently. He has turned his life around and has a message for the prez. Good for him.
The way groups like ACORN, who have a vested interest in this administration’s siphoning of America’s wealth, have tried to demonize and mis-characterize the tea party people is a clear lesson in how little they have to do with the public and have everything to do with the corrupt power structure.
Any group who defends exorbitant taxes and more government control, and tries to attack and discredit those opposed to it are enemies of the people. Point blank.
ACORN has tried to steal elections, now they are tying to disenfranchise the voters again. And the other groups jelping them are all enemies of freedom. They are outing themselves. Make note.
Another Triumph for Socialized Medicine
Earth to, Michael Moore. Here’s yet another example of what a disaster Britain’s National Health Service is. Which is the direction President Obama wants to move us toward.
A 21 year old woman has lost all her teeth because she couldn’t find a dentist to treat her, even though that’s supposed to be provided for by the NHS.
Amy, whose dental problems were caused by untreated gum disease, does not go out any more. And when she looks in the mirror she hardly recognises the face staring back at her.
‘Even with my mouth shut I look different,’ she says. ‘My cheeks are hollowed and my face looks thinner. I look like an ugly, old woman.’
Amy’s story gets worse. First, doctors have told her they can’t fit a set of false teeth until her gums are sufficiently healed and that could take six months. But she has also been warned that there is a slim chance they will never recover enough for dentures to be fitted.
The NHS is getting worse all the time, like socialized medicine elsewhere. This is not the direction we want to go.
The Size of Our Debt
They’re breaking our economy. And they have no idea the rage that’s building out there. Yet they seem clueless. And don’t seem to care.
But they may find out how angry people are when they try to pass a new Amnesty bill.
Outrage Dujour
Another outrage (they seem to be a daily occurrence lately), the government is raising taxes on tobacco through the roof.
Now, you many not be a smoker. I’m not. Never was. But you have to watch how they’re penalizing smokers, because it’s just a dry run for what they’ll be doing to something you like in the near future. Watch as they do this with alcohol, sugar, gasoline, etc. Get ready.
On Wednesday, the federal tax will go from 39 cents per pack to $1.01. All the extra tax money is supposed to help fund the State Children’s Health Insurance Plan, or SCHIP. I’ve written about the new excise tax and SCHIP before and how it relates to cigars. On Wednesday the tax on individual cigars goes up as well, by 40 cents. It’s steep but not as bad as the original version of the SCHIP law, which called for an outrageous $10 tax per cigar. Now, that will be the tax on a box of cigars rather than an individual cigar. That hasn’t stopped the most popular cigar Web site from selling off inventory in what it’s calling “SCHIP Busters.”
The biggest losers in the new excise tax are the makers of roll-your-own tobacco.
Loose-leaf tobacco is a more fragmented industry with smaller producers than the monopolized cigarette industry. There are even a couple of family businesses still around, but most likely not for long. Wednesday happens to be April 1 and the new excise tax on roll-your-own tobacco looks an April Fool’s joke but it isn’t. The tax on RYO tobacco goes from $1.10 per pound to $24.78 per pound. That’s more than 2,100 percent! Tuesday, a sack of RYO tobacco will cost $15; Wednesday it will be $40.
Oh, “it’s for the children”. Gee, never heard that before.
If we don’t stand up to these clowns, they will continue to abuse us like a slap happy abusive boss. You going to stand for that?
Fascism Watch
If you think the government has already gone too far lately, apparently, they disagree. This latest outrage show just how extreme the Dems are and why they need to be stopped.
It was nearly two weeks ago that the House of Representatives, acting in a near-frenzy after the disclosure of bonuses paid to executives of AIG, passed a bill that would impose a 90 percent retroactive tax on those bonuses. Despite the overwhelming 328-93 vote, support for the measure began to collapse almost immediately. Within days, the Obama White House backed away from it, as did the Senate Democratic leadership. The bill stalled, and the populist storm that spawned it seemed to pass.
But now, in a little-noticed move, the House Financial Services Committee, led by chairman Barney Frank, has approved a measure that would, in some key ways, go beyond the most draconian features of the original AIG bill. The new legislation, the “Pay for Performance Act of 2009,” would impose government controls on the pay of all employees — not just top executives — of companies that have received a capital investment from the U.S. government. It would, like the tax measure, be retroactive, changing the terms of compensation agreements already in place. And it would give Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner extraordinary power to determine the pay of thousands of employees of American companies.
So they not only want to be able to take over any business at any time, fire its presidents on a whim, but decide what you will be paid. And this is from people who have no experience running a company or even working in the private sector.
This is by no means the end of what they’ll be proposing. This just shows how extreme they are and how willing they are to burn the constitution, which they were sworn to defend.
All those anti-Bush paranoid theories seems quaint compared to what these guys are really doing.
Marx Would Be Proud
So now Obama is firing the heads of companies when he likes. Just like some dictator in a Banana Republic. So much for free enterprise.
The Obama administration asked Rick Wagoner, the chairman and CEO of General Motors, to step down and he agreed, a White House official said.
On Monday, President Barack Obama is to unveil his plans for the auto industry, including a response to a request for additional funds by GM and Chrysler. The plan is based on recommendations from the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry, headed by the Treasury Department.
The White House confirmed Wagoner was leaving at the government’s behest after The Associated Press reported his immediate departure, without giving a reason.
Of course, this is what happens when you accept government bail out money. They can push you around. But they also have that bill to do this to any company they like. They’re determined to rule the land in an autocratic fashion (no pun intended).
This is part of why the government is so hot to push stimulus on everyone. They want us to be dependent on them so they can start barking orders. Obama’s only been president for two months and his power grab is a thing to behold. Watch for my new Big Hollywood post that gets into it more.
You have to wonder what this “restructuring” will involve. My guess is they will force the companies to only make “green cars”. Which only a portion of the public will want to buy. Watch.
How Democrats Solve Problems
The Governor of Illinois has a simple solution to the bad economy, raise taxes by 50%!
Gov. Pat Quinn today acknowledged he plans to raise income taxes in the wake of a Chicago Tribune story that he is considering a 50 percent increase on individuals. He declined to confirm details in the Tribune report, which said he is looking at raising the personal income tax from 3 percent to 4.5 percent as well as increasing personal exemptions.
“There will be some that will have a higher tax burden,” Quinn told reporters today during an impromptu news conference at the James R. Thompson Center, adding it would be based on the ability to pay. Quinn said an increase would be part of a “fundamental reform” of the income tax system that would provide tax relief for many Illinoisans. He said that would come from more generous tax exemptions for working families who are suffering amid the nation’s economic decline.
Ah, I see. They want to tax the rich. Why is it that this is the only things Democrats know how to do? They never met a tax hike they didn’t like. In all my years, this is what I have seen them do over and over again. Yet it has been proven time and again to be a bad move. When you punish the people at the top, they pass the costs down the line.
When businesses have to pay more, they charge more. When it costs more for them to do business, they hire less.
It’s really simple. A no braimer. Which is apparently what these politicians have in their skulls. Or don’t have as the case may be.
Al they’re doing is making things worse. Idiots.
Sold to China?
If this is true, heads should roll. If you were worried that Obama was selling out the US. You may be more right than you imagined.
Sources at the United States Embassy in Beijing China have just CONFIRMED to me that the United States of America has tendered to China a written agreement which grants to the People’s Republic of China, an option to exercise Eminent Domain within the USA, as collateral for China’s continued purchase of US Treasury Notes and existing US Currency reserves!
The written agreement was brought to Beijing by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and was formalized and agreed-to during her recent trip to China.
This means that in the event the US Government defaults on its financial obligations to China, the Communist Government of China would be permitted to physically take — inside the USA — land, buildings, factories, perhaps even entire cities – to satisfy the financial obligations of the US government.
Put simply, the feds have now actually mortgaged the physical land and property of all citizens and businesses in the United States. They have given to a foreign power, their Constitutional power to “take” all of our property, as actual collateral for continued Chinese funding of US deficit spending and the continued carrying of US national debt.
What Obama has done is bad enough. This is beyond the pale.
Drowning in Debt
Democrats seem to think the answer to everything is taxes. They think taxes cure cancer. In fact, in the president’s recent speech he claimed we will cure cancer in our lifetimes. Why he didn’t throw in a cure for AIDs and world hunger is beyond me. He seems to like make grandiose promises.
Obama is trying to drown the US tax payer in debt for two reasons. He’s attempting to ram through his socialist agenda, universal health care and global warming taxes so that the government is permanently made larger and the debts laid on all of us will make us indentured servants of the nanny state for many generations. The second is the typical grandiose vainglorious motives so many leaders have. He wants a lasting legacy. He’s trying to buy this with the people’s money.
His budget includes a $634 billion “down payment” on universal health care even though the people didn’t vote for that and it has not been approved by the congress or the senate (yet). He’s banking on the Democrat majority to ensure it happens. And once there, the government will be able to dictate your life style even more than they do now.
He is putting taxes on carbon emissions, which is like putting taxes on breathing because every time you exhale, you are letting out carbon dioxide. Cap and Trade is an environmentalist scam and it’s yet another attempt to soak businesses, who are already over burdened with taxes and regulations.
There is no evidence that carbon dioxide is a “dangerous pollutant”. It’s part of nature. It’s food for plants. But Obama’s anti-science government wants to try to control it. A laughable and insane objective. So why does he do it? His budget projects $645 billion in revenues from the sale of emission allowances. Basically this will give the government more contriol over the energy busines than they already have. All you have to do is how well the government has run Amtrak, the Post Office, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to see what a poor idea it is to give the government too much power.
And he plans to tax the rich into the stone age. That has never worked and always stagnates the economy. We did that already in the past and it only kept us in a perpetual cycle of recessions and stagflation until Reagan cut taxes. When Bush did it it pulled us out of the post 9/11 recession and we had a period of great wealth generation. Our crash came from two many people using credit to further their extravagant lifestyles. And too many others taking advantages of the governments lax lending policies, which is not subject to change, apparently.
Take a look at this chart and you can see what an irresponsible leader Obama is. All the talk of Bush’s extravagance pales in comparison.
They want us in debt because it makes people more dependent. People who are financially sound are more free to make up their minds. Whose who are dependent on the state are more likely to vote for statist candidates.
Obama is for more government, more laws regulating people. The Democrats are even trying to regulate free speech. They failed to pass the fairness doctrine but they are going for it in other ways, even trying to control free speech on the Internet.
By their acts you shall know them.
