The Insanity of Palin Haters
It never ceases to amaze me how bent out of shape Sarah Palin haters are. They are beyond the pale. I constantly see reports on internet sites about how outraged you should be because she talked to someone once who is a Christian or something. The latest is death threats are pouring in to Dancing with the Stars over Bristol Palin being a finalist. How mentally deranged and utterly bereft of a reason for living do you have to be to threaten people’s lives over some lame “reality” show?
The fact is, ever since the Democrats saw how popular Sarah Palin was when she was nominated as McCain’s Vice-Presidential candidate, they have gone into over drive to try to destroy her image, lying up a storm about her and her family. All because this grandma from Alaska is seen as a potential threat to Obama. Rest assured, all the scoffing you hear about her not having a chance against Obama comes from people who are terrified of her. If she wasn’t a threat they would have ignored her by now. But she still commands the stage.
Going after her kid shows you how deranged these people are. Her daughter Bristol isn’t in politics. She is a 20 year old mom in the spotlight only because her mother is famous. But people are threatening to kill her if she wins that show.
Symbolic, no? They see her as a proxy for her mother.
It isn’t just Democrats who hate Palin, elitist Republicans don’t like her either. Why? Because in many respects Palin is more like a middle American than a beltway creature. The elitists hate middle America. They deride it as much as they can. Even though George W. Bush came from a blue blood family, his accent and mannerisms reminded elites of Middle America too and they hated him for that. Sarah Palin is an actual real person from the hinterlands. She did not come from wealth or attended Harvard. Those are qualities the so called elites require to be accepted in their club. Because she is an outsider she is reviled whether she deserves it or not.
And the mindless followers of the leftist elite’s agendas believe everything they’re told, acting out their master’s rage in their own stupid way.
Whether or not Sarah Palin is qualified to be president is another argument. But anyone who is fair minded has to be appalled by the insanity being directed at her and her family. She doesn’t deserve this just because her opinions aren’t the same as the crypto-fascists.
Something to Add To the Bucket List
I definitely want to go there some October, even though I am not much of a drinker. I enjoy German food a lot and have spent some time in some authentic Beer Gardens. They’re great fun.
So That’s What they Looked Like
When I was a kid they had these ads in comic books. There was a creek across the street from our house at the time, and I wanted to get one thinking I could take it in there. Glad I didn’t because years later someone who ordered one told me they were made of cardboard. The “torpedos” were fired by a rubber band.
Well, I found this picture of what one looked like. Better than I expected, but I would have not fit in something this small. It was made for little kids. I was around 12 when those ads came out.
What did you expect for $6.98 plus 75 cents shipping. Those were the days.
The People are Revolting
Yes, that is an old pun used often in cartoons like the Wizard of Id. But in the case of the Netherlands, it’s also true. They tried to persecute Dutch politician Geert Wilders for daring to speak the truth about radical Islam. And the result of their show trial is to make his party winners in the recent elections over there.
Europe is drifting right ward, which I said would happen years ago. The people in Europe may be very “progressive” but the fact is they can only take so much abuse and the Islamists are wearing out their welcome there. They have been very open about wanting to turn Europe into a Islamic state. The values they espouse are those of the Taliban. Europeans have relied on America to protect them since WWII, but the fact is, they are not as wimpy or cowardly as one would assume. What they have been is very complacent. They’ve been suckered by decades of soft-socialism and it’s taking its toll.
But things could turn very nasty over there if the EU continues to shove the multi-culturalism line down people’s throats. Add to that a global depression, which may very well happen and we’re talking major upheavals. Even civil wars. There were two world wars in the last century that started out of similar pressures. It could happen again.
Love Letter to the Feds
Joe Stack flew a plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas today. Before that he set his house on fire and posted a manifesto on his website. It was directed at the government.
As I’ve said before, there is a lot of anger out there. This guy was a lefty (based on his Bush hatred and dislike of capitalism), but there are angry people on the right as well. There’s a good chance something more severe than this will happen this year and the government will use it as an excuse to clamp down on the public. Hopefully that won’t happen.
But the fact is the administrations constantly lying about the situation we’re in is going to enrage more and more citizens. The MSM keeps playing along so far. The latest job numbers are once again called “surprising job loss” which is what they say every time. At some point it shouldn’t be surprising when it happens every time. And it’s happening because this president is doing everything wrong. And at some point the public is going to revolt.
These violent incidents are just early warning signs. If we had sane politicians, they might actually listen to the people and stop the madness, but no.
I really hope things don’t get much worse, but I don’t have any faith in the current collection of clowns in Washington. Until there is real change, we’re likely to see a lot more of this stuff.
End Multiculturalism Now

Protesting Cartoons
