Protesting Cartoons
My latest Big Hollywood screed. We sometimes get people protesting cartoons in the US, and it’s just as absurd as when Muslims threatened those Danish cartoonists.
Not only are some people too sensitive, some people are just crazy or stupid. Why cater to their feelings? And while I was on the subject. I talk about the stupidity of “hate crimes.”
Termites in the Walls
Melanie Philips of the Daily Mirror is becoming the new Oriana Fallaci . Her latest piece is a must read. It talks about how people foolishly thought the left was defeated with the fall of the Berlin wall, when all they did was start the rot from inside the west.
She also had a piece a few weeks back about how Labour, the UK version of the Democrats, have been using loose immigration laws to destroy the British culture. The same thing is being done here by leftists seeking to destroy US traditional culture.
You might roll your eyes and think, oh, that’s just racist talk. But it’s not a racist issue. It’s an issue of deliberately trying to destroy western culture in order to supplant it with a totalitarian ideology. We’re seeing it happen before our eyes and it has been a long time in the making.
This new healthcare bill they passed is part of their goals. Once they control healthcare, the can control the life or death of anyone and that gives them an insane amount of power. You do not want that to happen.
What’s wrong with this picture isn’t just that these people are evil. They are insane. They are only going to make an unbelievable amount of suffering which will lead to civil wars. And by undermining traditional culture, they will not be able to manage the mess they create. They have divided in order to conquer, but that will make the result unmanageable in the end.
2010 is an important year in more ways than you can imagine. We have to take back our government before it is too late.

The New Counter Culture
I had a great lunch with Batton Lash today, we were talking about the comic strip we’re about to launch on Big Hollywood (and here). Won’t say what the title is but it involves some famous people.
As we talked I realized that those of us who provide a counter argument or humorous take on the establishment are the new counter culture. That is what I am going to declare, loud and proud.
I AM A COUNTER CULTURE ARTIST!!
The culture as it stands now is informed by the scolds on the left. The left tells us what to eat, what to say, what we can’t do, what we must do. They are worse than the people they complained about in the 60s, who were the establishment then. The establishment then was informed by the right, a kind of 50s conformist society. At least they had good music.
The people now try to force conformity to ideas that are self destructive and repressive. They want us to agre to abdicate all rights to some collective bureaucracy.
We live in a kind of new Victorian age. It’s getting more repressed by the day. Time for a social revolt like the one we saw in the 60s. It’s time a new counter culture let its freak flag fly and say NO TO THE NONSENSE!
The establishment is now a creation of the left. But it is a twisted, warped and frankly repugnant parody of everything the hippies wanted back in the day. The counter culture of the past would have been horrified if they could see what they grew up into now. As someone from the end of the baby boom, I saw things then, and I am now here to usher in the new age. The age of Libra. Of balance. No more tilting to the left!
The administration is like a classic example of what a parody of itself the modern establishment has become. You have Pelosi as some kind if deluded harridan, Reid as some blathering dufus, the president as some slick, clueless hustler, blinded by his hubris. It’s all low hanging fruit for anyone with half a brain.
The alleged comedians and late night hosts out there who are supposed to be funny are nothing but shills for the establishment. They are not people who “speak truth to power”. Rather, they mock safe targets who don’t fight back and prop up those who see themselves as our “betters”. Our so called “leaders” who are charting a course off a cliff.
These so called comics are neither brave or relevant anymore because defending the powerful with their lame jive is what you’d expect from simpering palace eunuchs not “rebels” or “brave performers”. Artists who shuck and jive for their masters are no better than begging dogs.
The real “change” is going to come from those who have the guts to say no to the stupidity that’s being forced upon us. Those who show the truth about what’s really going on. Those who expose the man behind the curtain. They are the ones who will open the way to a new path.
Let us begin in earnest. Amen!

Did You Know
I ran this before on the old blog. This is how fast things are moving in society. What they used to call Future Shock. Some of it sounds disturbing, but the truth is, it means all kinds of possibilities. Not all of them bad. The world we know is changing around us by the second and it will not be the same 10 or 20 years from now. It’s hard to predict at this stage whether it will be better or worse.
I prefer to be optimistic even though times are bad now.
Dolt of the Day
Suze Orman thinks Bush is responsible for the financial mess, like a lot of people who get all their info from the evening news.
Sitting in a green room after her TV interviews, she lambasts everyone from Alan Greenspan to Larry Summers to the former president of the United States, who holds an especially dark place in her heart. “Commander in Chief?” she says of George W. Bush, with a mix of disbelief and scorn. “You blew up every single financial vessel we had and if you think you aren’t personally responsible, well, the blame starts at the top. There is no higher top than you, SIR! If I were you, I would feel so absolutely horrific that I would take every penny I had and distribute it to anybody and everybody to help them in whatever way I could. You owe the American people every penny of your fortune and your family’s fortune.”
The meltdown was caused by a lot of things, but the fact is, the mortgage meltdown that tipped us over the edge was a product of Clinton and the Democrats. See the video below. They bear the brunt of the responsibility there and people need to know that.
The Democrats have been in power for the last 2 years. And now they have almost total power and things continue to get worse. They are doing just about everything wrong to “fix” the economy. It’s really easy to look that up, but naturally Orman sees it as W’s fault because who’s a Democrat’s favorite strawman?

Venice By Air
Some great views of Venice from above. As you may know, Venice is a series of islands where an ancient city has been built. It is slowly sinking as the ground the structures were built on are swampland.
Rarely do we get to see it from above.
