The Future of Education

The system has to change. Public Education as it is now is failing our kids and has been for a long time.

Islamic Indoctrination in America

First it was the Marxists, now it’s the Islamists. What was that about separation of church and state? Oh yeah, that doesn’t say anything about separation of mosque and state, so I guess it’s OK, eh?

They don’t even allow kids to sing christmas songs anymore, but they have to learn how to dress like a muslim and make a prayer rug? And that muslims discovered America? No wonder people are pulling their kids out of public schools.

The State Bans Friendship

You think I’m joking, yet the same creepy social engineers who have made a mess of society are now trying to discourage kids from having best friends. Imagine what kind of nightmare social misfits they will be creating with this stupidity. They are going against human nature and bonding.

But increasingly, some educators and other professionals who work with children are asking a question that might surprise their parents: Should a child really have a best friend?

Most children naturally seek close friends. In a survey of nearly 3,000 Americans ages 8 to 24 conducted last year by Harris Interactive, 94 percent said they had at least one close friend. But the classic best-friend bond — the two special pals who share secrets and exploits, who gravitate to each other on the playground and who head out the door together every day after school — signals potential trouble for school officials intent on discouraging anything that hints of exclusivity, in part because of concerns about cliques and bullying.

“I think it is kids’ preference to pair up and have that one best friend. As adults — teachers and counselors — we try to encourage them not to do that,” said Christine Laycob, director of counseling at Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School in St. Louis. “We try to talk to kids and work with them to get them to have big groups of friends and not be so possessive about friends.”

“Parents sometimes say Johnny needs that one special friend,” she continued. “We say he doesn’t need a best friend.”

And they wonder why people are pulling their kids out of public school. The state is increasingly anti-human.

The Story of Stuff: Critiqued

I can’t recommend this higly enough. This four part series utterly decimates the lefty propaganda video “The Story of Stuff” which is being shown in many schools right now. TSOS is another anti-capitalist, anti-globalization screed based on hysteria, outright lies, and manufactured statistics. This video series by Lee Doren completely takes it apart. And does so with facts.

Public Education is a Waste

For the money they spend on each student in public education, you could send your kids to the top private schools in your city.

The more public funds are spent on public education the worse it gets. It’s so bad in ultra-blue state Rhode Island they want to fire all the teachers. At fault are the education bureaucrats in each city who are over-paid and useless, the unions which have protected criminal teachers while over paying hacks. Government does not run things well. It runs them into the ground.

And let’s not forget how they are using schools to push a political agenda on these kids. One that’s actually bad for the country.

Time for real change.

The Child Molester Scandal that Wasn’t

You’re more than likely aware of the cliche the media paints of Catholic priests being child molesters. Well, there’s another group that may be 100 times more likely to do that and the media ignored the story.

My latest Big Journalism piece.
