They were playing this trailer at the DC booth at Comic Con. Very nice.

This game is incredible. One of the best FPS games I’ve played. If you’re a fan of survival horror action games like Left 4 Dead, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, or Doom, you’ll love this. It’s got a great story and amazing graphics. Steam is selling it for a song right now. The sequel is due out in January.

glaDOS is back! The insane computer that put you/Chell through a deranged maze of death traps in order to “test” you has been resurrected years after she was destroyed. And has reconstructed the lab with even more tests to make you think.

One of the most original and clever games ever (yes, I know the portal idea came from another game, which was fantasy based, but the execution of Portal was what made it so fresh). It had a great sense of humor and personality. Valve said it stunned them how emotionally attached people became to the game. It really set off several memes when it came out.

From what I have been reading, it sounds like the sequel promises a lot more cool stuff including a new sidekick AI that helps guide you through the game. Can’t wait!

A new game trailer that looks pretty cool. At least there’s no Ewoks in it.

One of the best games ever, a totally original puzzle type game involving a gun that lets you shoot wormholes through which you can travel about in order to escape an insane deathtrap maze, is free for the PC and Mac until May 24. Get it now if you haven’t played it before. You will thank me later.

The game is funny, smart, a real brain teaser. It won 70 awards when it came out. Best game of the year awards from all over. Love it.

Portal 2 is supposed to come out this Holiday season.

Yay! Portal 2 is coming out this holiday season. The first game was one of the most original, clever games I ever played. But even better it had great dark humor and was tied into the Half-Life games. It is in the same world.

Portal won 70 industry achievement awards for 2007, the year it debuted. I can’t wait to play the new one. No news yet on Half Life 2: Part 3 except there may not be a part three. They may just jump to Half-Life 3. Another game I can’t wait to play. The problem is, they take forever to come out. But you have to give Valve credit. They release no game until it is ready.

I’ve been playing this game. It is even better than the first one, which was the best Sci-Fi game yet. It creates a really wonderful space explorer feel in a Star Wars type universe full of alien races and space colonies. The designs are fantastic. I love walking around the alien cities. The battles are well done. It’s like a SF version of Dragon Age: Origins, in a way, though part one preceded that game. This has better graphics than the first, which was excellent already. It takes place 2 years later and Captain Shepard gets a new ship and has to find a fresh crew to take on another mysterious alien race that’s attacking human colonies.

The aliens are fantastic. Their faces express emotions in subtle ways. And they got a lot of good actors to play the characters.

If you like SciFi then you’d love this game. It really takes you to some fantastic places. It’s like being in a cool SF novel or movie.

I finished this last week. Best fantasy game ever made. Hands down. At least, that I’ve played. But it is the most fully realized world, and the quality of everything was top notch. This trailer shows a scene with some of the major characters of the game. The guy with the tattooed face would be your character, however, you get to chose how he/she looks and what race they are (human, elf, dwarf). Anyway, it is amazing. And in a year of great games, really an achievement.
