Slavery is still with us, mostly in Asia. The price of a slave is at historic lows. Back when slavery was legal in the US only the rich could afford a slave. They were around $40,000 a head in today’s dollars which was astronomical to most people back then. Now they can cost less than $100.

The human race has a long way to go to truly abolish slavery. The people who keep talking about America’s past are conveniently ignoring the fact that the problem lies elsewhere. Slaves came here from other places because those other places captured and sold them. Those places still practice it today.
