This president obviously doesn’t care about the law. He’s even got a Democrat controlled congress and still pulls this stunt.

President Obama will bypass Congress and appoint Dr. Donald M. Berwick, a health policy expert, to run Medicare and Medicaid, the White House said Tuesday.
Dan Pfeiffer, the White House communications director, said the “recess appointment” was needed to carry out the new health care law. The law calls for huge changes in the two programs, which together insure nearly one-third of all Americans.

Isn’t it fascinating that the guy they pick is an expert in health care rationing? And this after all the promises they made that there would be no rationing under Obamacare, which like all other promises Obama has made is an obvious lie.

They are trying to say the recess appointment is because of mean old Republicans trying to block him. But why would they do that unless, you know, there’s a problem here.

Meanwhile, the blatantly racist tanning tax is in effect now. It’s just one of the many taxes Obamacare is bringing to America.

Change!!

UPDATE: It seems he’s a Socialized Medicine fan. Surprise!

They did that because few Americans know how screwed up it is, unlike England and Canada who have and English speaking media. Well, I’m here to educate you in the realities of it.

The word of a Democrat politician is worthless, as Bob Stupak proved today. He sold out millions of unborn kids for the sake of a piece of paper from the president. Executive orders can’t over ride laws, unless we’re already in a state of tyranny. Maybe we are.

So, the Dems appear to have the votes they need to pass the bill. But the battle is far from over. It goes back to the Senate where the Republicans plan to sabotage it. The states are suing to stop it because it places an unfair burden on them. Others are suing to stop it. If the Republicans regain both houses in November they plan to repeal it. Of course, they will need to be able to override a majority.

We still don’t know if the Dems have the votes to pass it at this posting, but it looks like they do.

Everyone who votes for this bill voted against the will of the majority of Americans and should be kicked out of office. They are there to represent the people not sell them out.

UPDATE: Douglas Holtz-Eakin, a former head of the CBO explains what the bill will really cost the U.S.

Removing the unrealistic annual Medicare savings ($463 billion) and the stolen annual revenues from Social Security and long-term care insurance ($123 billion), and adding in the annual spending that so far is not accounted for ($114 billion) quickly generates additional deficits of $562 billion in the first 10 years. And the nation would be on the hook for two more entitlement programs rapidly expanding as far as the eye can see.

The bottom line is that Congress would spend a lot more; steal funds from education, Social Security and long-term care to cover the gap; and promise that future Congresses will make up for it by taxing more and spending less.

The stakes could not be higher. As documented in another recent budget office analysis, the federal deficit is already expected to exceed at least $700 billion every year over the next decade, doubling the national debt to more than $20 trillion. By 2020, the federal deficit — the amount the government must borrow to meet its expenses — is projected to be $1.2 trillion, $900 billion of which represents interest on previous debt.

It will also bankrupt more states which is why so many states are passing laws to block it. The battle is far from over.

Video of Stupak from last year. He was always going to cave because he really has no principals. A politician’s promise is as good as the paper it’s printed on.

Obamacare Watch, Day 984,938,030: According to Ace, the Dems didn’t get a CBO score tonight like they were expecting which means a vote this weekend is unlikely, which means another deadline has been passed. Other Dems like James Clyburn (D-S.C.) said this could go till Easter.

The longer this drags out, the less likely this monstrosity will pass. Because the politician’s poll numbers are dropping each day this goes on. Obama is underwater with Gallup now, one of the most favorable of the polls out there for the Prez.

Everyday this farce continues, the Democrats are destroying their brand. And Obama didn’t do himself any favors by going on Fox today and telling one bald faced lie after another.

We live in the age if the internet. People can immediately fact check or go to a blog that has. The MSM may not be willing to do their job but the public is. Especially since they are tired of being lied to.

I am still not certain what the outcome will be since they seem to be willing to do whatever they they they can to get it done, but if they do pass this mess, heads will roll. Already states are passing laws to ban it and lawsuits are being prepared.

When I predicted Dem Doom at the beginning of the year it may have been a understatement. Speaking of which, my predictions for this year are looking pretty solid so far.

The joke is the Health Care Summit that Obama called, which was as effectual as his “Race Summit”. Both were nothing but an excuse for more face time for the president, who doesn’t seem to be interested in actually doing a job, just looking like he’s doing one.

He reminds me of those people in an office and walk around with folders in their hand so it looks like they are actually doing something, but they’re just killing time till they can clock out.

This summit only accomplished something Obama didn’t want to happen. It made him and the other Democrats look petty and small. From the fact that they got to speak more than twice the amount of time the Republicans did. The Dems mostly told fake sounding sob stories and lied about how the public really wanted their bills to pass despite the polls.

Obama was the worst, some of his statements were either absurd, blatant falsehoods or disrespectful to the Republicans who showed up in good faith. And the Dems showed that they had no intention of listening to any Republican ideas. He ended it with a veiled threat which was rather ironic because it will come true for the Dems.

Various senators and congress people being interviewed after this summit have said they don’t expect anything to pass now. Which means, even the reconciliation process might not work. Obama is said to have a “plan B’. Frankly, I hope that fails too. He seems completely out of touch with the realities this country is facing. America has to cut back on the government and expenses. Not increase them. These bills would only add to the debt dramatically. This president and Congress seems completely clueless about fiscal responsibility. Time to go, people.

Do you feel like a goose? Because the Democrats plan to ram Obamacare through, with no standard procedures. That means the bloated tax monster masquerading as health care bills wil be joined in a Frankenstein like manner, insuring that your tax bill will shoot up dramatically and you will start paying for other people’s abortions not to mention illegal aliens health care. Two trhings Obama said wouldn’t be in there. But they will be.

Now that both the House and Senate have passed health care reform bills, all Democrats have to do is work out a compromise between the two versions. And it appears they’re not about to let the Republicans gum up the works again.

According to a pair of senior Capitol Hill staffers, one from each chamber, House and Senate Democrats are “almost certain” to negotiate informally rather than convene a formal conference committee. Doing so would allow Democrats to avoid a series of procedural steps–not least among them, a series of special motions in the Senate, each requiring a vote with full debate–that Republicans could use to stall deliberations, just as they did in November and December.

“There will almost certainly be full negotiations but no formal conference,” the House staffer says. “There are too many procedural hurdles to go the formal conference route in the Senate.”

All I can say is, there better nbe some legal backlash to tie this up in court for years so it can’t go into effect. A lot of people who thought they would soon be gettig “free healthcare” are going to find they will be paying an extra six or more grand a year, under threat of jail or fines. And the service will be terrible. If this doesn’t cause massive backlash then we might as well raise a red flag.

I suspect, however, this economy killing monstrosity will cause massive problems for the Democrats. At least, that’s my hope. This thing does not resemble in any way shape or form an improvement of anything. Except more taxes for the criminals who are sucking us dry already. People who think this is a good thing will have to reflect on that while they are denied treatments for their cancer in 10 years.

This is a nightmare and the Democrats are showing they don’t care what the people want or think. May they burn for this.

I happen to agree with these three points of view, which pretty much sums up three arguments I have been making on this blog for years.

1. Global Warming is a scam. Here is a list of reasons. Download it. You will find it very interesting, especially if you believed in the warming lie. Besides, the big proof that the whole thing is political can be demonstrated by the fact that lefties are the big believers in the lie. And who is pushing it hard? Anti-capitalists who want the economies of the west to fail. They are coming out of to protest in Copenhagen. They even cheered on Hugo Chavez when he spoke.

2. Socialized Medicine is fascism. Once the government controls healthcare, it can then dictate your lifestyle. Read this and weep. As a libertarian I am not only opposed to statism, I am opposed to government interference in people’s personal lives. Nationalized healthcare opens the door to that and you will never be free again. Plus, they will tax you hard while they order you around.

3. Socialism destroys economies and makes everyone (except the elites) suffer. Argentina is a prime example. Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea. We know all about them, but Argentina shows us how a rich country can follow the path the Democrats want us to democratically, and see where it leads. It is death. Forget it.

I agree with Howard Dean, for once. He said they should kill the Senate bill. So does Roland Burris, who is Obama’s replacement in the Senate. He plans to vote against it.

With no public option, the Dems are bailing. So maybe Lieberman did us all a big favor by neutering this beast, even while he said he now supports it. The Democrats still thing they can pass something. I’m hoping they don’t. The last thing we need is this insane clown posse running the medical business. They can’t even do their jobs and they want to run 1/6 of the US economy. The reason we’re in this horrible economy is because of their policies. They have only made things worse, not better.

If the senate bill dies, they will have a hard time getting Obama care passed. Which is why they probably won’t give up. They will try to ram something through on Christmas eve or something. Never have I seen a more out of touch and deaf to the public Congress.

I looked at the calendar on the blog and noticed I haven’t been posting that much lately. Part of it was because I was not feeling too well for a couple weeks. Part of it is because I hate repeating myself, yet I can’t avoid talking about this nonsense. It’s too important. Part of it is just looking at what’s going on and wondering WTF can be done about it. I mean, they are really selling us down the river.

Imagine, if Obama care passes. We will all have a large tax added on to the already extreme taxes we’re paying. And no one will be able to “benefit” from it for three years. And the “benefits” will uncountably be worse than you have now, even if you are uninsured. The pushers of this bill have no idea what they are wishing for. I am talking about the dupes in lefty land who think the Congress can actually deliver something workable.

And then we have the push for climate regulations which will add more costs to our lives, less freedoms. The crooks and cranks in Copenhagen are debating how best to ruin everyone’s economies and increase everyones taxes. And all for an unproved, laughably stupid theory which is constantly finding itself debunked.

But first things first. We need to see Obamacare die. It’s too early to tell if it’s dead yet. But here’s hoping.

Before Obama care passes, and let’s hope it doesn’t, it’s important to look at countries like England that have socialized medicine. Here is yet another example of why it does not work. This is not an aberration. Stuff like this happens all the time in countries with a system like this. I have a friend who broke her leg in Japan and had it set by a Japanese doctor in one of their state hospitals. She had to get her leg rebroken and reset again when she got back to the US.

People who live in denial will swear these kinds of stories are exceptions. They aren’t, They are all too common. When you have socialized medicine, the doctors are poorly paid and trained. They don’t give a damn and they are overworked.

It’s like the old story, given a choice, would you want private school or public school for your kids? Private facilities or public facilities? When everyone gets the same deal, the deal sucks.

Bureaucrats who promise the people they will take care of them are always wrong. And they know it. Governments are all about increasing their power at the expense of the people’s freedom and rights. It’s the same story in every nation and we’re getting as bad as some of the worst. Our politicians now are some of the most blatantly corrupt I have ever seen. They do not seem to care what the people think anymore.

It’s up to us to make them care.
