A speech writer for Obama, Edwards and Clinton discovers what government health care will do and realizes he was a fool.

I am glad he woke up, everyone else needs to wake up these clowns in Washington to drop it while they can. Main, fire Olympia Snowe, STAT!

Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings feels it’s wrong that heterosexuality is promoted in schools and wants homosexuality taught starting in kindergarten. This is the guy who praised NAMBLA member Harry Hay who is an advocate for pedophilia.

I don’t have a problem with homosexuals, but I don’t think it should be taught in grade school. Obama seems to be hiring people based on how much of a zealot they are (or Valerie Jarrett as the case may be). Forcing sexuality on children before they discover their sexuality is wrong.

Frankly, the way he acts as if there is something wrong with heterosexuality, which none of us would exist without, is fundamentally insane. Par for the course with Obama czars.

Michael Moore has a message for the Democrats.

“To the Democrats in Congress who don’t quite get it: I want to offer a personal pledge. I – and a lot of other people – have every intention of removing you from Congress in the next election if you stand in the way of health care legislation that the people want,” Moore told supporters of women’s groups and unions gathered at the headquarters of the government watchdog group Public Citizen. “That is not a hollow or idle threat. We will come to your district and we will work against you, first in the primary and, if we have to, in the general election.”

Democrats have started to take for granted the support of women, unions and low-income workers, according to Moore, who is promoting “Capitalism: A Love Story,” a documentary about the financial collapse due for wide release Friday.

“You think that we’re just going to go along with you because you’re Democrats? You should think again,” he told the Tuesday crowd in a speech that was carried to members of the media dialed into a conference call. “Because we’ll find Republicans who are smart enough to realize that the majority of Americans want universal healthcare. That’s right. That’s absolutely right. Don’t take this for granted.”

Actually the opposite is true. The majority of Americans are opposed to Obama care and the numbers are growing. But we all know Moore and reality are two things that don’t go well together.

And if he thinks he’ll find many Republicans for this crap he must be really high.

This kicks ass

I’ve always found it annoying when Europeans, who often have never been here and get all their information on us from the TV, decide to pass judgment on us from their high horse. Here’s a recent example:

When we Europeans – the British included – contemplate the battles President Obama must fight to reform the US health system, our first response tends to be disbelief. How can it be that so obvious a social good as universal health insurance, so humane a solution to common vulnerability, is not sewn deep into the fabric of the United States? How can one of the biggest, richest and most advanced countries in the world tolerate a situation where, at any one time, one in six of the population has to pay for their treatment item by item, or resort to hospital casualty wards?

The second response, as automatic as the first, is to blame heartless and ignorant Republicans. To Europeans, a universal health system is so basic to a civilised society that only the loony right could possibly oppose it: the people who cling to their guns, picket abortion clinics (when they are not trying to shoot the abortionists) and block funding for birth control in the third world. All right, we are saying to ourselves, there are Americans who think like this, but they are out on an ideological limb.

Then she goes on to say that “The US tolerates more inequality, deprivation and suffering than is acceptable here”. Yeah, what a crock.

I have lived over there and inequality is much more rampant in Europe. Why else do they have these segregated ghettos and “no go” areas? Why would rampant mobs of minority youth go on these crime sprees? Because they’re so happy living in a socialist paradise?

The truth about socialized medicine appears in the British press almost every day. Here’s the latest one. And here’s another. And yet another.

We have medical mishaps in the US, also. But then, we also have state hospitals that have to take in uninsured and those places are over worked, understaffed just like all hospitals will be under Obamacare. Which is why Americans don’t want it. Not because we’re “mean”.

“Universal health care” isn’t. People are denied it based on the prejudices of bureaucrats. If you’re too old, fat, a smoker, whatever, they have excuses why they cut people off. The real reason is the cost of running these massive entitlement bureaucracies eventually bankrupts them, and in the process you have rationing of care. Which is pretty damn “mean”.

Right now the Brits are all defensive because we’ve been using the NHS as an example of how bad Universal Health Care can be when a government runs it. Naturally defenders come out of the woodwork because who likes to admit they are being ripped off? Some young people are deluded about it because they have not had to use it that much. Wait until they have to.

We Americans don’t want to be stuck with such a failing system. No thanks.

They couldn’t get the votes or the public support so they are backing off the public insurance option. Watching Obama try to spin it the other day was almost hilarious if it wasn’t so boring.

But don’t think you can relax. They will try to sneak something through that will make it easier for them the next time.

The good news is this stinging rebuke may just scuttle Obama’s many plans as more and more Dems will be afraid to support him as his poll numbers sink. The polls are showing a huge rout of the Dems next year if things continue as they are. Obama may have seen his last successes.

We shall see.

UPDATE: All you Canadians who tell me I’m a liar when I talk about your failing health care system, read this and weep.

Governments are incapable of running a business. Government needs to get out of businesses and leave it to the private markets.

Because their heath system is undergoing a lot of scrutiny, British politicians who have a vested interest in keeping it going are defending it, Fortunately, our favorite British MEP is making waves. Of course, they are calling MEP Daniel Hannan a traitor.

The Tories are the Brits version of Republicans. Labour is their Democrats. And just like here the distinctions between the two parties isn’t that great.

So it’s wonderful to see someone like Hannan being a leader and speaking out against the mess that British socialized medicine is. The world needs better ideas, not dumb and dumber. That is what we’re faced with now. Obama wants to make a bad system worse.

Thank goodness people are fighting back

This health care fight is an old one.

The Obama Administration is trying to ram its socialist agenda down our throats, pushing a new expensive entitlement at the same time they are driving the country almost bankrupt.

They are against the public speaking out, accusing all who oppose this Obamacare as being shills for insurance companies and Republicans. They are sending union thugs to intimidate protesters. And this is from a former community organizer. He obviously doesn’t like communities organizing against him.

Here are the stakes. The Dems may say they’re not trying to push a single payer bill, but it is transparently designed to kill insurance companies, so they can force everyone onto a government insurance plan. Not immediately, but soon enough. And the result will be, as it is wherever governments manage health care, rationed. And the first people to be cut are the people on the margins of society. The old, Alzheimer patients, the obese, smokers, drinkers, etc. People they can make excuses about.

Everyone else will have to wait months, if not years for treatment. Doctors will be scarce and bad. And things will go downhill from there. A huge new bureaucracy will grow and grow creating a lot of government jobs, which will create a lot of people dependent on the government who will keep this system locked in. In the UK, the National Health is the third largest employer in the world after the Red Army in China. 1.6 million people. That’s a large voting block.

Socialized medicine never works. It’s always dysfunctional. I was talking to Harsh Realm artist Andrew Paquette the other day. He’s now a professor of art at a top university in the Netherlands. He says the Dutch go to other countries when they need important operations. Every person I know who has had to deal with socialized medicine has their stories. I have mine. I have lived in England twice and I have used the VA medical system here. I know about it from experience.

We do not want socialized medicine in the us. The polls show the public doesn’t either. Can the US voters prevent the Dems from forcing something on us we don’t want?

We have to fight to make sure they can’t.

I have been railing against socialized medicine as long as I have been blogging. I knew this day would come because the Democrats are determined to make everyone locked into government dependancy from cradle to grave. We have to stop them. This is the most important fight we have right now.

The people are fighting back against this Democrat/Obama nonsense no matter how they try to spin it. Anyone who is for Obamacare is going down in flames.

I have never seen a more dishonest administration and that’s saying something. The Obama administration is claiming the angry voters showing up at town halls to protest Obama care are just shills hired by special interest groups. And he claims not to be for single payer and that Drudge’s link to a video saying he is for single payer was cut to look that way.

Well here it is, uncut. Obama is a liar. Point blank.

There have been several instances where Democrats have said they were for single payer but they had to push this health care bill to do it gradually. They are trying to kill health care choice in America. They want single payer. They are not shy about admitting it. This has been a progressive agenda for decades.

They wan’t people dependent on government health care because the more dependent the people are on government, they more they can push us around. The Democrats are the statism party. They know that the more people work for and depend on government, the more Democrats there will be. It’s a cynical and sickening power grab.

The results will be a system where you have insane waits for treatment, if they approve you, and fewer and fewer people will get the treatment they need. They will not “improve health care”.

Hot Air gives us three videos showing the rage and anger directed at the politicians who want to give us Obamacare. They should cheer you up if you hate it as much as you should.

The government’s Cash for Clunkers thing ran out of money in less than a week after it was designed to last for months. There is no way any government retooling of health care will be anything other than an abject failure an massive sink hole. Medicare, Medicaid are running out of money fast. The VA system is in shambles. Ask any Native American how well the US takes care of them medically.

The government needs to get out of the health care business and leave it to people who know what they are doing.

If you need proof that the government can’t do it well, look at public education. Billions of dollars have been spent on education in the US and we have some of the lowest test scores in he developed world. Down there with Mexico and Guatemala. It isn’t because Americans are stupid, it’s because the government has destroyed education and corrupted it. Before we had a Department of Education, in the days of one room school houses, kids were vastly better educated and we had a higher literacy rate. Once bureaucrats started meddling with education we got things like New Math which made students fail to learn math and resulted in lower test scores across the board. Bureaucrats dumbed down our school system and eliminated grades. Thousands of parents have wisely pulled their kids out of public schools.

You can go down the line and everywhere government has meddled with something they have made it worse. Or, as in the case of the environment politicized it to the point of insanity. Farms are dying in California because they are protecting some tiny fish. People are experiencing water rationing because of this madness.

The Obama administration and the Democrats aren’t rational and they certainly aren’t doing anything right. To trust them with this would be an epic disaster.

The Democrats are telling people they are not pushing a single payer (aka Socialized Medicine) bill, but they’re strategy is to create a systenm that will inevitably lead to that. Private insurance companies cannot compete with the government. Notice how Pelosi and the Dems are now demonizing private insurance carriers. They want to run private insurance carriers out of business and force people into government care, which will be rationed. This health care bill must be stopped.
