In case you hadn’t heard, the now defunct newsgroup “Journolist” has revealed a lot about elite reporters conspiring to distort the news. Not only are they fanatically left wing, they seek to destroy any dissenting opinions in the press. They even called on the government to shut down Fox News. If that isn’t fascist I don’t know what is. The collusion of corporate and government interests to suppress dissent.

Daily Caller has been doing some great work here as well as Big Journalism. Here is the latest from Tucker Carlson to give you an idea.

If you were in the presence of a man having a heart attack, how would you respond? As he clutched his chest in desperation and pain, would you call 911? Would you try to save him from dying? Of course you would.

But if that man was Rush Limbaugh, and you were Sarah Spitz, a producer for National Public Radio (update: Spitz was a producer for NPR affiliate KCRW for the show Left, Right & Center), that isn’t what you’d do at all.

In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out” as Limbaugh writhed in torment.

In boasting that she would gleefully watch a man die in front of her eyes, Spitz seemed to shock even herself. “I never knew I had this much hate in me,” she wrote. “But he deserves it.”

Spitz’s hatred for Limbaugh seems intemperate, even imbalanced. On Journolist, where conservatives are regarded not as opponents but as enemies, it barely raised an eyebrow.

To view someone with a different opinion with such vitriol is not the providence of objective, rational people. These are fanatics who should never have been given such an important task as writing about the news. But to make matters worse, they seek to destroy dissenting views, and even try to get the government to push their agenda. People have been saying for decades how biased the press is, now we have the proof from their own private conversations.

It’s about freaking time.

I don’t care if someone her age is in a job like that, only if they are competent. She has acted like a crazy bag lady for as long as I can remember. Ronald Reagan used to treat her like a nutty aunt, and let her ramble but didn’t really get into it with her. Because she has babbled on about a lot of loony things over the years. Naturally, she was a darling of the left.

I do give her credit for at least taking on Democrats occasionally. She wasn’t a total party animal. None the less, she was battier than a belfry.

UPDATE: Here’s a clip of Thomas spouting off her views. She admits she is a liberal and thinks that makes her objective. When you watch enough clips of her you realize she was nothing but a partisan hack. She had no understanding of reality at all.

It’s about Sarah Palin’s move to Fox News as a contributor.

Talk about a bunch of whiners, even Fox’s competitors are raising an eyebrow at the way the White House is acting toward Fox. Here you see Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel saying it’s not a “legitimate news organization”. Is that setting the grounds for some kind of Chavez like action against Fox? We’ll see.

They are trying to marginalize it at the very least.

Obama senior adviser David Axelrod went further by calling on media outlets to join the administration in declaring that Fox is “not a news organization.”

“Other news organizations like yours ought not to treat them that way,” Axelrod counseled ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “We’re not going to treat them that way.”

By urging other news outlets to side with the administration, Obama aides officials dramatically upped the ante in the war of words that began earlier this month, when White House communications director Anita Dunn branded Fox “opinion journalism masquerading as news.”

Apparently, like the communists so many of them admire, the Obama administration only believes the media’s job is to unquestioningly report whatever the president wants. This is dictator power grab 101. No wonder some people are starting to get ready for a fight.

Andrew Brietbart launched a sister site to Big Hollywood today called Big Government and a bunch of articles there nailed two ACORN employees in Baltimore for helping some undercover journalists try to set up an underage house of prostitution. Great way to launch a site. Citizen journalism is replacing the old media in relevance in major ways.

The MSM is dead, long live the internets!

Just when you though MSM clowns couldn’t get more obsequious and fawning over Obama, you get this crap. And people thought Fox news was too nice too Bush.

We should start calling for the resignations of any news people who puff up Obama or any president like this. Fire them!

This is one of the worst example (or best) of left wing media bias I have ever seen. This is appalling.

First she decides what they are protesting about, which is not the case, by the way. These protests are about the insane spending. Then she tries to caricaturize the protesters, then put words in his mouth. They’re taking hack journalism to new lows.

May their ratings sink beyond sight.
