It’s coming apart, slowly but surely.

A high-level inquiry into the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change found there was “little evidence” for its claims about global warming.
It also said the panel had emphasised the negative impacts of climate change and made “substantive findings” based on little proof.
The review by the InterAcademy Council (IAC) was launched after the IPCC’s hugely embarrassing 2007 benchmark climate change report, which contained exaggerated and false claims that Himalayan glaciers could melt by 2035.

The panel was forced to admit its key claim in support of global warming was lifted from a 1999 magazine article. The report was based on an interview with a little-known Indian scientist who has since said his views were “speculation” and not backed by research.

Independent climate scientist Peter Taylor said last night: “The IPCC’s credibility has been deeply dented and something has to be done. It can’t just be a matter of adjusting the practices. They have got to look at what are the consequences of having got it wrong in terms of what the public think is going on. Admitting that it needs to reform means something has gone wrong and they really do need to look at the science.”

The statists who have been running this scam will not go down without a fight. They see it as a huge cash cow. The new taxes and other schemes they want to impose on us all are something they have been trying to implement for over a decade now. The political leaders presently in power are still trying to get laws passed. But the public is growing increasingly resistant and in tough economic times, these costs and measures will be economy killers. They will not get through before the November elections, and after that I would say the chances are next to nil.

But until Global Warming is dead and buried we shouldn’t celebrate yet. But it’s getting there.

UPDATE: Another shot to the foot

The IPCC’s last report on Global Warming has been reviewed. All 18,531 references cited in the 2007 IPCC report were examined. And guess what? 5,587 were not peer-reviewed. This in spite of the the fact that the IPCC chairman claimed the report relies solely on peer-reviewed sources. Each chapter was audited three times; the result most favorable to the IPCC were used, yet 21 out of 44 chapters contain so few peer-reviewed references, they get an F. 43 citizen auditors in 12 countries participated in this project. Climate clown and screeching hysteric James Hansen has been exposed as being a complete fraud. Both CRU and now NASA have been shown to have been either lying or at best, are incapable of proving any of their claims because they “lost the data” and their computer model programs have been revealed to have “fudged” the data.

May they be sued into oblivion. And all the politicians who have been pushing AGW should get the axe. Cap and Trade and any related scam has to go down in flames.

They are not going down without a fight. Too much money and ego is at stake. The warm mongers have decided to “fight back” against the skeptics.

Undaunted by a rash of scandals over the science underpinning climate change, top climate researchers are plotting to respond with what one scientist involved said needs to be “an outlandishly aggressively partisan approach” to gut the credibility of skeptics.

In private e-mails obtained by The Washington Times, climate scientists at the National Academy of Sciences say they are tired of “being treated like political pawns” and need to fight back in kind. Their strategy includes forming a nonprofit group to organize researchers and use their donations to challenge critics by running a back-page ad in the New York Times.

“Most of our colleagues don’t seem to grasp that we’re not in a gentlepersons’ debate, we’re in a street fight against well-funded, merciless enemies who play by entirely different rules,” Paul R. Ehrlich, a Stanford University researcher, said in one of the e-mails.

Ooooh, a back page add in the NY Times. That’s fighting back hard.

Notice the person they quote is Paul Elrich, one of the biggest scare mongers artists of the past 40 years. He wrote the Population Bomb, one of the early alarmist books which claimed we would be out of natural resources by the 1960s and mass starvation by the ’70s. Yeah. Very credible. No surprise that he endorses AGW. He’s the proto-Al Gore.

Let’s deal with reality for a second. The warmists have been waging war against skeptics from day one. They had the upper hand for the longest time because the media was on their side. People are now beginning to see that this while thing was an elaborate scam. The warmists see the whole thing crumbling down around them, so they are trying to fight back against what we can hope in their inevitable failure. But remember, we’re dealing with people who are not only dishonest, if not crazy, they’ve invested their careers and lives in this big lie. They have too much to lose so they will fight to the end.

Politicians have billions, nay, trillions of dollars in their eyes in new taxes. They will not give that up easily either. As much as I would love to see this all crash and be done with, we’re still in for a fight. But this article shows how lame and pathetic they really are.

The one good thing about this world wide economic crisis is it’s getting people to no longer tolerate the nonsense. When times were good people were willing to shrug it off and grumble. Not now.

Nova started out believing in AGW until she really researched it as any reporter should, and discovered what an alarming scam the whole thing is. Her handbooks have been translated into 10 languages now.

Yet another fake claim by the warm-mongers is shot down. Well, actually, recanted. Reported in the Guardian no less.

Scientists have been forced to withdraw a study on projected sea level rise due to global warming after finding mistakes that undermined the findings.

The study, published in 2009 in Nature Geoscience, one of the top journals in its field, confirmed the conclusions of the 2007 report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). It used data over the last 22,000 years to predict that sea level would rise by between 7cm and 82cm by the end of the century.

At the time, Mark Siddall, from the Earth Sciences Department at the University of Bristol, said the study “strengthens the confidence with which one may interpret the IPCC results”. The IPCC said that sea level would probably rise by 18cm-59cm by 2100, though stressed this was based on incomplete information about ice sheet melting and that the true rise could be higher.

Gosh, the taste of crow must be awfully dire, eh? All these AGW pimps are having to change their story in the wake of Climate Gate. So much for their doomsday predictions. No wonder Gore and company have been awfully quiet lately.

Yes, the whole sordid climate change scam is coming apart at the seams. As one of the major figures in the climate gate scandal makes some glaring admissions.

Professor Jones also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon.

And he said that for the past 15 years there has been no ‘statistically significant’ warming.

The admissions will be seized on by sceptics as fresh evidence that there are serious flaws at the heart of the science of climate change and the orthodoxy that recent rises in temperature are largely man-made.

Professor Jones has been in the spotlight since he stepped down as director of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit after the leaking of emails that sceptics claim show scientists were manipulating data.

Of course, he still covers himself by saying he still believe s man made climate change is happening. He’s at risk of some major lawsuits. But other climate scitentists are now saying “the world may not be warming.” Do tell.

The bottom line is the tables have turned and those who have been pushing this lie on us are going to regret it. The world is on the verge of political upheaval as the global economy continues to meltdown. Those who were pushing this kind of fear mongering on the public will most likely pay in some way. As this year rolls on, I suspect it will get much uglier for them.

UPDATE: What to say to a “warm-monger.”

I especially liked Octave Tockfield’s (what a name!) article on the BBC. It’s very eye opening.

After a series of revelations post Climate gate, the wheels are coming off the great global warming hysteria wagon.

Despite widespread efforts to play down the Climategate e-mails, they were very damaging. An investigation by the British newspaper The Guardian – among the most aggressive advocates for action on climate change – has found that a series of measurements from Chinese weather stations were seriously flawed, and that documents relating to them could not be produced.

Meantime, the IPCC – the body widely regarded, until now, as the ultimate authority on climate science – is looking worse and worse. After it was forced to retract its claim about melting glaciers, Mr. Pachauri dismissed the error as a one-off. But other IPCC claims have turned out to be just as groundless.

For example, it warned that large tracts of the Amazon rain forest might be wiped out by global warming because they are extremely susceptible to even modest decreases in rainfall. The sole source for that claim, reports The Sunday Times of London, was a magazine article written by a pair of climate activists, one of whom worked for the WWF. One scientist contacted by the Times, a specialist in tropical forest ecology, called the article “a mess.”

India is pulling out of the IPCC. Because they say it cannot rely on the IPCC. They are setting up their own group, which will probably prove it was all a lie.

Watch this video compiling some of the AGW hysterics propaganda ads. They have spent untold billions on this scheme. That doesn’t happen without some kind of major end goal in sight and saving the planet isn’t it.

They actually know every little in climate science at this stage. It’s a relatively new science. They are as knowledgeable about the climate now as Copernicus was about Astronomy. They know just enough to sound like they know something. But the truth is, they are still in the dark and are not qualified to make any such predictions, computer models or not.

Billions of dollars have been spent on advertising and summits and endless governmental schemes and agencies to push this AGW on the rest of us. They had an end goal in sight and that was world government, using fear to motivate the people into acquiescence, into accepting a global tax and a world governing body which would be socialist in nature and would get more powerful by the years. That may sound crazy, but they left their fingerprints all over the place. And plenty of them admitted it in speeches, including Al “front man” Gore. President Obama and his crew are big supporters of this whole AGW scheme. But his popularity is falling like a lead balloon.

The hysteric’s scam is disintegrating and not a moment too soon.

In one of my annual New Year predictions a couple years ago I said that nature would prove Global Warming to be a lie. It seems that prediction is coming true. Last winter was cold. This one is worse. So much so that some climate scientists are now saying we may be on the verge of a mini-ice age. Check out the picture of England under ice after the jump. England does not get snow normally, except in the highlands of the north.

So, is this the dawn of a new ice age?

Perhaps. Not sold on that yet. But needless to say the warmists are still in denial even though they are being exposed as a joke every where they turn.

As I’ve said time and time again on this blog over the years, reality trumps theory every time. “Climate computer models” are no substitute for the simple truth that the earth’s climate goes through cycles. It has been for billions of years and will long after man is gone from this earth.
