Smoking Cain
You gotta love a candidate with a smoker in his ad. Talk about un-pc and an attention getter. Sure to piss off some people.

I already liked Herman Cain, but after his strong showing on the last Republican debate he is looking more viable as a real candidate. If you watch this video from the 90s where he takes Bill Clinton to school, he would obviously shred Obama in a debate. It would be amusing at the very least. Clinton is a pretty smart guy for an ideologue. But he was no match for Cain.
Here’s a video from the last election where Cain is asked which candidate he favors and he explains why Obama would harm the economy, which is exactly what’s happened.
Whether you agree with his views on religion or not Penn has some great things to say about libertarianism vs other political views.
Watch the Thomas Sowell video below to see how wrong Koch is on rent control. Koch is an old school Democrat. But at least he’s a realistic one in many respects and honest. He’s an interesting character. I remember well his term, even though I was just a teenager at the time and lived in California. He made national attention.
President Obama has made a lot of historical firsts besides winning a nobel prize for doing nothing and being the first black president. Of course, it’s not a list you would want to be on unless you’re a scumbag.
As if I needed to ask that question. Will Rogers once said “No one is safe as long as Congress is in session.” It’s always been a corrupt bunch of fools ruining the country. This article by a former congressional staffer is an interesting read how bad it is.
Talk about a narcissist. With Obama it’s all I, I, I,me, me,me
So some cult thinks tomorrow will be the end of the world. Apparently the president is trying to accommodate them.
Every week it’s another outrage, another absurdity. This week he wants the majority of Israel to be handed off to the Palestinians just like that. At a time when the middle east is on fire, largely in part because of the terrible decisions he made or didn’t make while dithering around for months.
And now he’s saying he doesn’t need Congressional approval for Libya even though we’ve been there two months and counting.
We also learn that his administration has been covertly trying to get anti-gun laws through bypassing congress.
As bad as the Republican candidates look so far, I can’t help but wonder if there is a worse option than what we have now. This president doesn’t respect the constitution or our allies. He seems utterly clueless about everything. I don’t blog about him much anymore because it’s almost pointless. He’s a walking talking parody.
I am glad Trump is bowing out as a presidential candidate. He would probably only hurt the election by drawing people away from other “more real candidates”.* He has said some worthwhile things but he has also said some really foolish things. He did show he could taken on the president in a war of words. But after the way he was attacked at the press club gathering a few weeks ago, he seemed really quiet. Maybe he couldn’t take the heat.
More likely he saw that they would go to great lengths, both the media and the Democrats, to try to destroy his name and he wisely chose not to let that happen.
Politics is a nasty, ugly business. We get crappy choices because of the sick carnival it has turned into. I suspect Romney will do very well now as he is a strong contender. But I find him too slick. What happens in the rest of this year should be interesting, but it won’t be till next year til we know who the candidate will be. All talk right now is pure speculation.
* I don’t think most candidates are very real in the long run since they become so compromised by special interests supporters. That’s politics.
