Coolness! One of the top conservative news sites picked my latest Big Hollywood article. They usually list top writers in the fields, so it’s great to see my name there.

The so called Hope and Change candidate continues on with his agenda of an America that does not resemble the one we all grew up in. And not in a good way.

In the last week both chambers Congress has advanced an alarming expansion of the Americorps that resembles something out of the Hitler Youth. It all comes from Obama’s agenda which he stated on his campaign website.

To begin with, the legislation threatens the voluntary nature of Americorps by calling for consideration of “a workable, fair and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people.” It anticipates the possibility of requiring “all individuals in the United States” to perform such service, including elementary school students.

The bill also summons up unsettling memories of World War II-era paramilitary groups by saying the new program should “combine the best practices of civilian service with the best aspects of military service,” while establishing “campuses” that serve as “operational headquarters,” complete with “superintendents” and “uniforms” for all participants. It allows for the elimination of all age restrictions in order to involve Americans at all stages of life. And, it calls for the creation of “a permanent cadre” in a “National Community Civilian Corps.”

But that’s not all. The bill also calls for “youth engagement zones” in which “service learning” is “a mandatory part of the curriculum in all of the secondary schools served by the local educational agency.”

I’m sure the youngsters will really like Obama now, when they’re drafted into his pseudo-military.

Al this vague description doesn’t mask what this seems to be leading to. Indoctrination of our youth at camps, turning kids into tools of the government to enforce policies. Just like Obama is currently using volunteers and ACORN to knock on doors and harass people into agreeing with his legislation. He seems to be adopting a lot of tried and true leftist tactics, like the ones employed by Hugo Chavez. And we all know where that leads.

As president Obogus continues to lead us down a path of self destruction (even the Europeans are aghast) it’s instructive to take a look at two videos that tell the other side of things. The financial mess was created by corrupt bureaucrats, and socialist minded lefties. They in turn have blamed it all on capitalism. But the truth is, capitalism is the only thing that will save us. The free markets.

If only we had people giving Obama that kind of response right now. The sad reality is the president is continuing to punish productive people in order to prop up the rest, rather than make it easier for more people to succeed and thus make the system truly fair. He doesn’t want to make the tax system fair. He wants to make it more unfair. And when he realizes over taxing businesses won’t cut it he will come afetr everyone else.

Obama is a typical bureaucrat, ideological and only interested in increasing the power of the state. His election will prove to be the worst thing that could have happened at this point in time. History will show that.

The Obama canvassing army is out there. But America is a big country and the pols couldn’t care less what voters think after an election anyway.

President Barack Obama’s army of canvassers fanned out across the nation over the weekend to drum up support for his $3.55 trillion budget, but they had no noticeable impact on members of Congress, who on Monday said they were largely unaware of the effort.

“News to me,” said Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas, a House Budget Committee member, of the canvassing. Later, his staff said that his office had heard from about 100 voters.

Frankly, we don’t want the zOmbie army to be effecting anything right now. The prez is doing enough damage as it is.

I’m sure they’ll keep plugging away trying to convince people the great and powerful Obama can make things happen. But he needs three things that the wizard couldn’t give him.
