Bill Maher takes on Muslim congressman Keith Ellison who is a defender of Islam, by calling the Koran a “hate-filled holy book.” We’ll see what flak he gets if any. But at least he’s shown the willingness to tackle a subject the PC secularist crowd have been afraid to touch.
It’s the only religion where killing or subjugating non-believers is part of its fundamental code. This is what separates it from other faiths and why the religion of peace argument is an outright lie.
This stuff is outrageous on both sides. Vilks is deliberately trying to upset Muslims, going pretty far out of his way to do it. But it’s his right. They shut down his film presentation, which was another attempt to inflame them and now he is a marked man. I have to give the guy credit, he’s got some serious stones. But it’s pretty sickening how these maniacs in the audience are allowed to behave the way they did. I wonder if the two people who committed assault here will even be charged. And all the whining from the screamers about needing respect. No one would be doing this stuff if they weren’t threatening the west and western culture.
Cowardice in the face of adversity only encourages the fanatics bad behavior. It doesn’t help when our Attorney General, for example, is such a wuss.
This stuff is real and the administration doesn’t want to deal with reality. Many countries are sticking their heads in the sand. But the fanatics will not stop and they will keep coming until we deal with them properly. Bush was right when he said people need to decide whose side they’re on. Because, whether you like it or not, it maybe come to the point where you will have no choice but to decide.
As for Vilks, I find it absurd that the people who clap at Jesus or Mary getting defiled become the ardent defenders of Mohammed when it’s his turn. All the stuff they say about Christians, equating them to Muslim extremists is a joke. If Christians were like that those two faced cowards would be wearing crosses.
Every so often the NY Times has something useful to say. Today they have an article about defectors from the religion that is worth a read. Aside from the crazy nature of the faith, the abuse they put staffers through is beyond belief. The rank and file members of the church have no idea how bad it is. All because the leader of the church is a deranged tyrant.
